Hello Group - I am a new member, newbie, struggling with ITDS 6.0. I'm
installing on HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC.

I had original problems installing Tivoli because I had to do a clean
install of DB2 and add a FixPack because my version of HP-UX 11.23 PA-
RISC didn't like the old DB2 which came with Tivoli.

Apparently when I patched DB2, the "root" user ID I was using is not
a true root ID. When I ran one of the post patch steps (db2iupdt) it
completed successfully according to the messages, but didn't. It was
trying to do multiple "su - " functions and failing.

So, I reran this command with "su - " access, dropped the Tivoli
instance (suggestions from the internet) and recreated it. I brought
everything back up, but Tivoli is still starting in Configuration
Mode. Not because of database connectivity errors, but the following
errors.

GLPCRY007E The directory key stash file is inconsistent with the
associated encrypted data.
GLPSRV064E Failed to initialize be_config.
GLPSRV040E Error encountered. Server starting in configuration only
mode.

Not much on the internet on this - do I need to uninstall Tivoli to
clear this?

Looks like You changed the password for the TDS instance

Change it back to what it was and it should work again . if not there is a Specific procedure and commands to follow up .
